Seaton is a traditional Devon seaside town in the midst of an area of outstanding natural beauty midway between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. The mile long pebble beach is gently sloping and safe to swim from, with the pebbles being small to medium in size. At the top of the beach and over the road from the apartment, is the Esplanade, a flat paved walk 1,160 metres in length stretching from Axmouth Harbour at the eastern end of the bay to the Chine, near Seaton Hole towards the western end.
